改编自美国儿歌《玛丽有只小羊羔》(Mary Had a Little Lamb)。

Mary had a little lamb,
His fleece was white as snow,
And everywhere that Mary went,
The lamb was sure to go.
He followed her to school one day,
Which was against the rule,
It made the children laugh and play
To see a lamb at school.
And so the teacher turned it out,
But still it lingered near,
And waited patiently about,
Till Mary did appear.
"Why does the lamb love Mary so?"
The eager children cry.
"Why, Mary loves the lamb, you know."
The teacher did reply.

Yankee Doodle
Yankee Doodle went to town riding on a pony,
Stuck a feather in his hat and called it macaroni.
Yankee Doodle keep it up, Yankee Doodle dandy!
Mind the music and the step and with the girls be handy.
Father and I went down to camp along with Captain Gooding.
There were all the men and boys as thick as hasty pudding.
Yankee Doodle keep it up, Yankee Koodle dandy!
Mind the music and the step and with the girls be handy.
And there was Captain Washington
Upon a slapping stallion.
Giving orders to his men I guess there were a million.
Yankee Doodle keep it up, Yankee Doodle dandy!
Mind the music and the step and with the girls be handy.
Yankee Doodle give a tune, it comes in mighty handy.
The enemy all runs away at Yankee Doodle dandy!
Yankee Doodle keep it up, Yankee Doodle dandy!
Mind the music and the step and with the girls be handy.

Carry me back to old Virginny,
There's where the cotton and corn and 'tatoes grow,
There's where the birds warble sweet in the springtime,
There's where this old darkey's dreamer's heart am long'd to go.
There's where I labor'd so hard for old Massa,
Day after day in the field of yellow corn,
No place on earth do I love more sincerely,
Than old Virginny, the State where I was born.
Carry me back to old Virginny,
There let me live 'till I wither and decay,
Long by the old Dismal Swamp have I wander'd,
There's where this old darkey's dreamer's life will pass away,
Massa and Missis have long gone before me
Soon will we meet on that bright and golden shore,
There we'll be happy and free from all sorrow,
There's where we'll meet and we'll never part no more
